Daniel Alves combats racism
So FIFA as been battling racism in the league for a long time now. There have been numerous times where the spectators have chanted racist remarks at players or done things like throw bananas at players on the field. Today Barcelona defender, Daniel Alves, responds to the racist crowd by eating the bananas that they threw at him. What better way to fight racism than to eat it and carry on with life. What a bro move, I got to give him props for that. Bravo.
Clippers owner Donald Sterling's racist comments
Wow, this guy must really hate his job. How can you own a basketball team and not like minorities, the NBA is full of minorities. Well, on a more serious note, racism still exists. I don't care who the president is or how far away we're removed from the Civil War. People are still going to be treated different because of the color of their skin. Even though there as been a lot a progress in this country, there is still work to be done. This story has definitely reminded a lot of Americans that racism is still out there. I feel bad for the Clippers players, they probably knew this all along and had to deal with this for the longest. It's a shame that this story is just coming out.
If Baron Davis was getting crap from Sterling, just imagine how Sterling was treating the other players.
